Hawaii
Aloha! Hawaii might be my favorite vacation destination, especially with kids. I have never been to a place that makes me feel quite like Hawaii does. My whole family loves Hawaii and I think that's why we find ourselves prioritizing it for our vacations and returning again and again.
Hawaii consists of 137 islands with eight of them being more well-known, and four being the main islands the most people vacation at. The four main islands you hear the most about are Kauai, Oahu, Maui, and Hawaii or the Big Island as it's more commonly referred to. I have been lucky enough to be to all four of these islands and it's hard for me to choose a favorite. I find myself wanted to rotate through each of them, or do more than one island each time I go, just so I can experience as much as possible.
Whether you are looking for relaxation or adventure, Hawaii has it all. I don't think I have ever met a person who has been to Hawaii and said they didn't like it or would never want to go back again. In fact, everyone I have ever talked to about Hawaii always say how they can't wait to go back.
If you Google "best vacations with kids," Hawaii is always at the top of that list. We have traveled there with our kids being all ranges of ages and every time, no matter what age they were, Hawaii provided the perfect vacation with kids in tow.
When vacationing with kids, I always find a little extra planning goes a long way. When you are by yourself or with other adults, you can just wing it. But with kids, that isn't always the best option if everyone is going to enjoy themselves. Not all beaches are kid friendly. Not all restaurants have a kid's menu, and not all hotels have pools that will let your little one become a little fish. For each island, I have poured over all sorts of guidebooks, YouTube vlogs, blogs, and anything else I can get my hands on when planning our Hawaiian vacations. I hope that all this extra work I have put in to make our vacations extra special can help you, too. Take a peak at each island to get an idea of to make the most of your time in Hawaii!
